The black ring in your washer door?Gone in one 30-minute visit.
That ring — and the musty towels — is mold living in your front-loader’s rubber door gasket. We do one thing: remove it, treat the seal so it stays gone, and hand you back fresh-smelling laundry. From $149.99.

Four signs it’s the gasket
The gasket’s folds hold water, lint, and detergent after every cycle. Cleaner cycles and vinegar never reach inside them — which is why the smell keeps winning.
- Towels and clothes smell musty straight out of the wash
- A black or grey ring inside the rubber door seal
- Dark spots that survive vinegar, bleach, and “clean washer” cycles
- A damp, mildewy smell whenever the washer door opens
The 10-second check
Fold the rubber lip back. Go on.
The mold hides in the channel under the seal, where a wipe-down never reaches. If what you find looks like these examples, you’ve found the smell.

Fresh laundry, kept fresh
Before we leave, we show you the 20-second weekly habit that keeps the gasket dry — so the smell doesn't come back.
Pricing

- Mold and mildew removal
- Detergent residue + lint removal
- Antimicrobial treatment
- 14-day service guarantee

Straight talk
The mold itself is guaranteed gone — that’s the job. Deep black staining usually lifts too, but rubber that’s been stained for years can keep a faint shadow after the mold is dead. And if your gasket is torn and actually needs replacing, we’ll say so and quote it instead of charging you for a clean that won’t hold.

FAQ
Quick answers
Will the smell come back?
Not for several months if you leave the door open between loads. We can also show you a quick weekly habit that keeps it gone for good.
Can you replace the gasket if it's damaged?
Yes — we can quote a replacement on the visit. Most just need a thorough cleaning.
How long does the visit take?
About 30 minutes for a standard front-load washer. It's a focused, single-appliance appointment — many customers add a dryer vent cleaning to the same visit.
Who actually shows up at my door?
Vent Pro NYC — the family-owned Brooklyn company behind this site. We've cleaned dryer vents and washer gaskets across NYC for over a decade. Booking, payment, and receipts all say Vent Pro NYC.
Is this the same as mold remediation?
No. This is routine appliance cleaning of the small rubber door seal on your washer. We don't do building mold remediation — if you have mold on walls, ceilings, or in a basement, that work needs a NYS-licensed mold remediation contractor, and we'll tell you so.
Do I need to do anything before you arrive?
Just make sure the washer is empty and reachable. We bring everything else, work clean, and leave the machine ready to run.
Why does booking show $199.99 for my address?
On its own, the visit is $149.99 within about 3 miles of our South Brooklyn shop and $199.99 beyond — the difference covers our travel time, and you see the exact total before you pay. Add a dryer vent cleaning to the same visit and the gasket stays $149.99 wherever you are.
Your next load could smell like clean laundry again.
