The sprays are our own solutions — mixed in-house, refined job after job, and chosen to draw as much mold as possible out of the rubber without cracking, drying, or otherwise damaging the seal. What's in them stays our secret; what they do is the point.
First solution, scrubbed in
We spray the gasket with the first of our in-house solutions and work it into every fold with a scrub brush, then dry the rubber down.
Second solution, dried again
A second solution goes over the whole seal to keep breaking down what the scrub loosened — then we dry the gasket down again.
Third finishing formula
Our third formula treats the clean rubber so the seal isn't just mold-free when we pack up — it's a much harder place for mold to move back into.
Mold-stain remover gel
Wherever staining still shows on the rubber, we coat it with mold-stain remover gel and leave it on to keep working after the visit.
Then one step for you: the tablet
We leave you a machine-cleaning tablet on the way out. About 4 hours after the gel goes on, drop it in the empty drum — no clothes, no detergent — and run the machine's tub-clean cycle. Once that cycle finishes, the washer is ready for regular laundry.
One honest note: removing the black stains isn't guaranteed. Stains soak into the rubber itself, so on most jobs they fade a little rather than disappear — but the mold in and around them is completely gone.

Will the smell come back?
Not for several months if you leave the door open between loads. We can also show you a quick weekly habit that keeps it gone for good.
Will the black stains disappear completely?
We can't promise that, and we'd rather tell you up front. Black stains soak into the rubber itself, so on most jobs they fade a little rather than vanish — but the mold in and around them is completely removed, and the musty smell goes with it. If the staining bothers you after the mold is gone, a replacement gasket is the honest fix, and we're happy to refer you to an appliance repair technician we trust.
When can I use the washer again?
The same day. We leave you a machine-cleaning tablet: about 4 hours after we apply the finishing gel, drop it in the empty drum — no clothes, no detergent — and run the machine's tub-clean cycle. Once that cycle ends, the washer is ready for regular laundry.
Can you replace the gasket if it's damaged?
No — we clean gaskets, we don't replace them. The good news: most gaskets just need a thorough cleaning. If yours is genuinely torn or worn out, we'll tell you straight, and we work with a technician we trust — we're happy to refer you to an appliance repair company.
Can you clean the detergent drawer too?
Yes — add it to your visit for $29.99. Customers ask for this one a lot: we deep-clean the drawer itself and inside the drawer housing it slides into, where water sits after every wash and mold likes to grow. That housing is the part almost nobody can reach on their own, and it's usually why the smell survives a drawer scrubbing. Just pick it as an add-on when you book, or ask when we're there.
How long does the visit take?

Is this the same as mold remediation?
No. This is routine appliance cleaning of the small rubber door seal on your washer. We don't do building mold remediation — if you have mold on walls, ceilings, or in a basement, that work needs a NYS-licensed mold remediation contractor, and we'll tell you so.
Do I need to do anything before you arrive?
Just make sure the washer is empty and reachable — we bring everything else and work clean. Afterward there's one small job for you: about 4 hours after the visit, run the cleaning tablet we leave you through a tub-clean cycle (empty drum, no detergent). Once it finishes, the machine's ready for regular laundry.
